Cardigan mountain is in the towns of Orange and Alexandria in western New Hampshire. It is not far to the west of Cardigan lodge and about 39 degrees west of the lodge. Cardigan mountain is 43.65 degrees North and 71.91 Degrees west.

Cardigan is mountain with a bare rock summit and is part of the Appalachian mountains. When you get close to the top, the trees start to thin out and soon only evergreens are visible. There are multiple small brooks around the bottom, and close by rivers and ponds. Standing at the top and looking down at the forest, all you can see are endless trees. All in all, there is lots of nature and physical attributes of Cardigan.

Although there are many natural things around Cardigan, there are also many traces of humans. Starting with the lodge at the bottom of Cardigan for example. The lodge was made by people. Some other Human/ environment interaction examples the old cellar, the hiking trails, the ladder that we found in the woods, the fire lookout tower, the cabin on the mountain, and crew bridge. An example could even be the camp fire pit because the circle of rocks were put there by humans. In conclusion, there are still many cultural attributes of Mt. Cardigan.

We were at the AMC lodge at cardigan for three days. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
