Day 3 When we first got up, it was raining really hard. We walked down a path into Welton Falls State Park. There were a lot of Hemlock trees, some surrounding an old basement. There was a stone wall in the basement and then there was some stone posts that looked like it used to hold up a house. As we got deeper into the woods, the rain didn't come down as hard because the trees were protecting us. As we crossed the river, the rocks got more slippery, but we made it across the river. The Welton Falls waterfall was gushing with water. There was a giant tree stump that had been uprooted where we ate lunch under. Our notebooks got really soaked as we sketched the waterfall. We sketched an edible berry and we also ate one. They didn't taste very good. As we hiked back the rain poured harder and harder. When we got back to the lodge, we all had hot chocolate. We all packed up and then we got into the bus and said goodbye to the educators.
