On day 1, I arrived late, at about 4:00, after all the hiking had been done, so I can not really write about that part of the day, although I CAN turn that into a theme of geography: movement. Movement is the movement of people, things, and ideas. For me, this would be the movement of people (in this case me) from Pennsylvania, where I had been earlier in the day for a reason that is not available for the public. As for the movement of things, the things I brought were moved from Pennsylvania to Cardigan, and for the movement of ideas, no ideas were transferred from place to place that I can think of. As for what happened while I was there that day, after dinner, there was an evening walk/hike where everyone in the hiking group I was in had to close their eyes and follow the person in front of them (whose shoulders they were holding). Not much else happened (for me at least) on day one.
The sketch below was not actually drawn on Day 1, but it applies to day 1 because it is the lodge that we stayed at.
