The Location of Cardigan Mt. is in Orange, New Hampshire. The latitude form the top of the mountain is 43degrees 38m 59s N, and the longitude , also from the summit of the mountain, is 71degrees 54m 52s. The terrain from the summit of the mountain is rocky and open, with a few clusters of very short trees here and there. The base of the mountain is different because of the climate, its more of a dense forest and the trees are tall and diverse, with many types and species of trees. The AMC lodge is also located near the base of Cardigan Mountain. That is the lo0catio of Cardigan Mountain.
Physical place traits are traits that are not man-made and are natural things you would find that were not made by humans. Some things that might be/or are physical traits are mountains/hills, bodies of water, trees/plants, rocks, boulders, etc. Describing a place using physical traits would be something like; my mailbox is in front of the big oak tree, or, the school's playground is near the boulder. Something that would not be a physical woulkd be a cutural trait. Again, physical traits are place-describing things that are not man-made and/or natural. Physical traits also are more commomly found in some areas more than others, like forest, backroads, hiking areas, country-sides, etc. That is what a physical place trait is.
Cutural place traits are traits that are man-made and not natural. Examples of items that are cutural might be towns and cities, roads, historic momuments, buildings, man-made bodies of water, walls, hiking trails, etc. Using cultural traits to describe something would be like; the house is on Octopus Street, or, I last saw her near the stone wall. Place you might find more cultural objects/things may be in buildings, cities, towns, some "hiking areas", country borders, etc. There was a firetower on the top of the mountain, that is cultural geography. That is what a cultural place-describing trait is.
We were at Cardigan for 3 days, Sunday , Monday , and Tueday (Session 1)
