Mt. Cardigans relative location would be that is positioned on the border of Orange NH and Alexandria NH. Mt. Cardigan is located directly east from the center of Orange, NH and directly west from the center of Alexandria NH. The absolute location of the fire tower at the peak of Mt. Cardigan is N43 degrees 39 minutes 10.84 seconds and W-71 degrees 54 minutes 37.78 seconds. Mt. Cardigan's elevation is 3117ft and is only 49 ft taller than the near by peak of Mt. Firescrew that sits at 3068 ft tall.

One physical place attribute of Mt. Cardigan would be all of the different types of trees. Some of the trees that you would be able to find on Cardigan and Firescrew Mountain are Spruce, Birch, Beach and Hemlock. Another physical place attribute of Mt. Firescrew and Mt. Cardigan would be an alpine bog. You can find this alpine bog near the peak of Mt. Firescrew. One last Physical Attribute of Mt. Firescrew and Mt. Cardigan would be all of the small streams that run down the side of the mountains.

One cultural place attribute of Cardigan mountain would be all of trails and routes there are leading to the top of Cardigan mountain and the bottom of Cardigan mountain. One example of a trail that leads up to the peak of Mt. Firescrew and then to Mt. Cardigan would be the Manning trail that connects up to the Mowglis trail. One example of a system of connecting trails that leads down to Cardigan lodge would be the Clark trail that then leads into the Holt-Clark Cut-off(Cathedral Forest trail). This trail connects up to Grand Junction which connects Holt-Clark Cut-off to Holt trail which goes back into Manning trail which eventually leads back to Cardigan lodge.
