Homer was alive around the time of 750BCE.He was a greek poet and a storyteller but he was NOT a writer.That is a common misunderstanding.He told the storys of the Illiad and the Odyssey and then people that listioned to him wrote the books and then gave the credit to him.The Illiad was a book about the destruction of Troy in the Trojan war.The Odyssey was the book about the hero Odysseus traveling back home after the Trojan war.In the Odyssey he describes flat earth islands for he was a flat earth believer.He also wrote about all the islands in the earth being in one cove surrounded by a continent with a little exit.On the sides of the exit were two pillers.In the book it was supposed that outside of the pillers were great monster and certain death.
