Columbus View of the World

If you take a map and roll it up to the right point you get this.It is how close together columbus thought that Africa and North America were.

Why does he want to prove that Eratosthenes wrong?

I wonder why he thought that the earth was smaller?

Columbus took a very harsh trip from Palos to the Caribbean region

This is a scan I took of a map.It shows the Bahamas and Cuba, It makes me really angry that these nice people give then shelter and food and then he takes some of them as slaves!

I wonder why he kidnapped some people? Does he not know that now that tribe will not trust him because he stole some of their own?

It is hilarous how the morning girl is making fun of Columbus and his crew. This is because they are wearing cloths that are foreign to her.

I wonder who the morning girls family is? What is life like in the Taino tribe? Does she have any siblings?

I don't think that it would be that easy to change someones religeon. This is what all their people have believed in for ages and now Columbus thinks that with just a little convincing that they will listion to him and become Christians like he is.That would be like a Christian going up to an Aethist and saying "Hey you should be a Christian." and then the Aethist says "Sure thing." That will NEVER happen.

I wonder if Columbus was raised a Christian or did he decide to be one and on that point is his family Christian?

This is a blob map that I made in class. It shows the caribbean region,If Columbus had not discovered tobacco or had just left the plant alone then our world would be a much better place.

I Wonder Question:

This is Columbus' trip back
