First came the bus ride.I rode with Natalie and Maddy. On the way there we played intense games of Mad Libs and at sour jolly ranchers.(the grape ones tasted like medicine.) Then we arrived at the AMC lodge.Once we had all piled out of the bus we played everybody's it, and had a Rock Paper Scissors Tournament. Finally we played a ball game where we would pass a ball around and whoever was holding it when the whistle blew they were out.Towards the end Nick had to run halfway around the circle more than once it was amazing! After that we all grabbed our bags and moved in.Our group had extreme trouble finding our room. When we finally found it of course we had to fight over who got top bunk.In the end Maria and I were on top and Annabelle and Rylee were on the bottom. Then we got to meet our leaders I got Pietra. Then to get to know each other we played some name games. One of them was called bonk the schmoop. In which we all held out our hands while in a circle and the person in the middle had to hit a person on the hand. The catch was that when the went to hit the persons hand they would say another persons name and then they would have to bonk their hand. Then we sketched the lodge and Jonas left the light on in there room. The Lodge is an example of Human Environment Interaction. This is because if you look at the lodge it has a slanted top. This is because snow falls and its slanted so the snow can fall off. This is an example of the environment changing humans. While we're on the topic then another example is of the old bit of a ski lift that was by the old car. This is because people flattened the ground so people could ski down it.This is an example of humans changing the environment. Finally we headed out on the Welton Falls trail. On the way we saw The Romeo and Juliet tree.It is called the Romeo and Juliet tree because Romeo and Juliet is about 2 lovers who can not be together and the tree is made up of a maple and hemlock wrapped together.Which are two trees that are rarely together.Another cool thing we saw was both a big bull and a smaller one on the trail to Welton Falls.A bull is formed when a parasite gets in the tree and then the tree wraps it to heal. One more landmark we found is a clump of spiky mushrooms which surprisingly also on the Welton Falls Trail. They were a yellowish color and were covered on bumpy like spikes. These are some cool attributes I saw on the Welton Falls hike. Then we had our free time in which we did a lot of fun things. But one of the coolest I think was that we did a ouija board (it was fake though of course.)Then we had dinner. We ate pork, cornbread, lemonade, fruit, rice (that andy kept asking for, I said enjoy he said do not tell me what to do!)Then we played a moth and bat game (which Nick kicked butt in.)Then we learned about different animal heads. But sadly we never got to the 3rd activity. Then Mr.Woolner read us a book about Blackbeard. Then we had to go to bed. There we found out Maria talks in her sleep and she went on and on about how she hated beige flowers. That was the day we made the rule that Maria had to go to sleep LAST.
