On the first day at cardigan we got off the bus and introduced ourselves to the AMC workers in a small, man-made clearing-an example of human environment interaction-. After we put our stuff in the lodge everyone met on the lawn to get into hiking groups. My group went to welton falls. The trail wove near the stream for most of the short hike. When we got to welton falls it was beautiful, with the water crashing under ledges, and the fences drilled into a rock, leading to a hidden cave. When we got back to the lodge there was dinner, and afterwards activities inside - due to the rain, (another example of human environment interaction.)
