Day 1 We get on the bus and I talk to some friends. I looked out the window and I saw so many good old cars, and some on the road. I know the town of Alexandria was a town for its cars. When we arrived at the lodge they knew we were tired so they had us play energetic games. After that we marched into the lodge and got into the rooms we would be staying in for the next two days. They had us get ready for the first hike and then we found our hiking group. We started off not long after we met the instructor. We went into a camping spot and saw one of the first trail markers. We found a giant box labeled as the JOBOX, that was used to keep black bears out of campers food. We continued on the trail to a river that we needed to cross. So after everyone crossed we saw water cave on the rocky sides of the river, we had recently learned in classroom 23 of Maple Street School. That science class was boring but I can’t say I didn’t learn anything. the water erosion was weird but strangely pretty to look at. We took a break on a small beach that had a lot of rocks so we sat on the rocks half in the water. We headed back but coming back wasn’t much different. We had a dinner of pork that was actually really good. Mr.Woolner read us a book about Black Beard. By the time he was done it was 10:00, our scheduled nappy time. Half the grade ran up the stairs at once. I brushed my teeth and got comfortable in my bunk and started talking to my new friends.
