This is a picture of a map of (basically) Columbus' journey from Palos, Spain, to the canaries. Personally, I feel that stopping in the canaries so quickly after embarking on their voyage was mildly unnecessary, because they should have had everything they needed.

I Wonder Question: Why would they need to stop in the canaries?

This one is a picture of Columbus' whole journey from Palos, Spain, to "Asia."

This image, however, is a picture of (generally) where Columbus was when he was in "Asia," also known as the Bahamas and the greater Antilles. I feel upset that Columbus and his crew can just straight up claim these islands as theirs.

I Wonder Question: Why does Columbus report that there are basically now women there?

I feel annoyed at Columbus' reaction to Morning Girl (according to Morning Girl). She says that their faces were as if they had never seen a girl before.

I Wonder Question: How did they communicate?

What Columbus is doing to these people is not OK because he is ruining the land and enslaving innocent natives.

I Wonder Question: What was Columbus hoping to find when he heard "Cubanacan?" It doesn't sound that similar to "Kublai Khan." Also, according to a friend's logic, even if he were in Asia, Kublai Khan would've been dead for over 100 years.

This is an image I made, a map of the Caribbean region, plus the tip of Florida, and the top of South America, even though it's not really to scale. I think that it's a good thing Columbus learned about these Caribbean things, as it is a good way to get some decent education in Europe in these times, even if it's geographically incorrect.

I Wonder Question: What was Columbus' reaction to seeing the foreign things?

This was Columbus' journey back from "Asia," however, in the Caribbean, the Santa Maria sunk, so Columbus and his crew could only travel back on the Niña and the Pinta. Due to this tragedy, they were forced to leave 38 men behind. *SPOILER ALERT* They died. Later on their journey, the two ships got separated because of a storm, and the Niña was on it's own. Desperate for supplies, Columbus had to stop in the Azores. Owned by Portugal. They let him go, as long as he returned in Lisbon, rather than Palos. about a month later, after Columbus and the Niña reached Portugal, the Pinta showed up, thinking they were the first to get back. They were thoroughly disappointed when they realized they weren't.

That right there was a brief overview of Columbus' first voyage to the Caribbean, also known as "Asia."
