The second day we were at Cardigan was the most important one. It was the day we were going to hike Cardigan. But first, Firescrew, a twin mountain, not as tall, but still home to a respectable height. Throughout the whole day, we were humans interacting with the environment, which is the theme “Human Environment Interactions”, or HEI for short. We walked through the woods, on (and up) solid rock, all to get to the amazingly natural (and really amazing) view from the top of both mountains. We were sketching almost everything we saw that was worth sketching (I would call that interaction with the environment). We were also educating our peers about plants that we could interact with in nature. A great example of this would be the Indian Cucumber plant. It looks like any old plant, but it is actually a tuber. When we got back to the lodge after the day’s adventure, we did the normal stuff, some free time (spent playing cardgames [E.R.S and Heartbeat] with some friends [Whose names are classified information at this point in time]), and then dinner. After dinner, we did something (that depending on how you look at it) might have hurt the environment a little bit. We made this (not actually very big) campfire/bonfire. There, we did skits. An example of this would be “Impersonation of you Educator(s).” You could be anywhere from really nice, to really mean. I heard the skit ideas for the second trip were better. Then we stopped majorly interacting with the environment, and went to bed, after Mr. Woolner told us more stories.
