Human Environment Interaction at Cardigan Mountain

I woke up and got dressed and headed downstairs to have a breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. My breakfast was delicious. Then we started hiking. At first the hiking was easy. After a short bit we stopped and played a blindfold game. When we were done with the game, we started hiking again and saw another group ahead of us. We stopped to drink water but some in our group wanted to speed up to beat the other group. Then there was a heated discussion about whether we should stay or go, and in the end we decided to speed up and try to overtake them. The hiking got gradually tougher after that and everyone was soon starting to complain. We marked waypoints and passed every group and finally were in the lead. When we got to the top of firescrew, we stopped and took a 20 minute rest break and ate our lunch. After that we took the crossing path over to Mount Cardigan, and took another 45 minute break to rest. We also saw the Mount Cardigan, Fire Tower. That was an example of human environment interaction because humans built the fire tower, to look out for fires that are caused by the environment. Also humans built this tower which has impacted the environment of the Summit of Cardigan Mountain. After that we started the descent. The descent was slightly easier than the ascent that we had had to do. We took waypoints including a woodpecker tree and a Cardigan High Hut,and then we crossed a neat bridge. Finally we got back to the lodge just in time for free-time. My bunk-mates along with Matthew Vengt played mafia until it was time for dinner. We had another good meal of tacos. Then we had an awesome campfire, where every hiking group did a little skit about the day. Then another story was told. Finally, we went to bed.
