The relative location of the Cardigan lodge includes that it is located near several towns including Groton, NH, Alexandria, NH, Hebron, NH and Orange NH. To reach the Cardigan Mountain Lodge using relative location you could use the following directions to achieve its location. Travel southeast from the town of Contoocook for 20 minutes to the city of Concord. From Concord, travel North and slightly West to the town of Canterbury. The next step would be to travel Northeast through the towns of Tilton and then through Sanbornton. Continue North as you travel to the town of New Hampton. From New Hampton travel West to Bristol and then continue Northwest to the town of Alexandria. Continue to travel North about one third of the way towards Groton NH and then diverge NorthWest to reach the Cardigan Mountain Lodge.
The Cardigan mountain region is full of all kinds of physical aspects. Some of these include tall hemlock trees and slightly smaller pine trees. Nearer to the top of cardigan you can find spruce trees. There are also a number of rocks going from pebbles to boulders. On the way to the top, in the deeply forested areas there are a number of small streams and brooks. All along the way grass can be found. Where the small streams and brooks are there is mud everywhere and the drier areas are full of dirt and soil. On many of the trees you can find moss and maybe an animal or two.
The cardigan mountain region is full of cultural attributes. Some of these include the towns of Alexandria and the town of Orange. There are many man-made trails that can be found on mount cardigan like the clark trail, the west ridge trail, and the south ridge trail. Also, the AMC built cardigan mountain lodge another cultural piece of cardigan. Other cultural characteristics of Cardigan include the fire-lookout cabin at the top of cardigan and the fire-watch-tower at the summit of cardigan. The AMC has also constructed a high hut almost at the top of cardigan. These are the cultural characteristics of mount cardigan.
