Here is some info about some islands in the Caribbean Region
Cuba is the largest island in the Carbbean region. It is part of the group of Islands called the greter intiles. A small group of islands that are the bidest of the area. They comprise of rock and very good soil. When I searched for some links I found that loads of sites are to go to Vacation on Cuba.
Montserrat is a volcanic island in the lesser intellies. The lesser I's are rocky mountian islands that are very volcanic and Montserrat has been active and spewing out lava since 1995.
The Bahamas is a group of islands made (mostly) out of sand and coral. They form when coral keeps growing on dead coral. But coral doesent grow above the water so it grows aroud the dead coral. At some piont sand gets there. Then coral erodes away and makes the island a C shape and all of that stuff.
Puerto Rico is a rectanglar island in the greater Intellies. Until very resently I did not know that Puerto Rico is a island under the rule of the United States of America. And Its not a state. WHAT! How can I go to 7th grade and not know that america has control over more places than the states.
