There are 2 types of Location. The first type of location is Absolute Location. That is when it is the exact location of something. For example, the summit of Cardigan Mountain is N43 degrees 38 minutes and 59 seconds. That was the latitude. The longitude would be, W71 degrees 54 minutes and 51 seconds. This is from the highest point on Cardigan Mountain summit.

The other type of Location is Relative Location. That is the basic idea of where something is. It might include the town and all of the surrounding landmarks. The mountain is in Orange and Alexandra. The surrounding mountains Firescrew, South Peak, Rimrock, Orange Mountain. That would be an example of Relative Location.

Cardigan Mountain was full of beautiful and was full of physical geography! There was a lot of examples climbing and exploring the mountain. One example would be the Hobblebush. Hobblebush is all over the mountains. That makes sense because it is also a really good plant to use for toilet paper if you use the trees, that is the plant that you would use. There are also a lot of streams and rivers. Some of them were not always wet, most of them were actually dry. It seemed that the higher we got up the mountain, the dry the rivers and streams became more common. Also at one part on the hike to Firescrew, we passed a geo glacial erratic. That was a huge geo that was put there by glaciers. One last thing was the bare rock summit of Cardigan Mountain. The summit was huge and a there was almost no grass or trees. It was only bare rock. Those are all examples on why Cardigan Mountain is Physical Geography!

Even though there were a lot of examples of physical geography!, There are still a lot of examples for Cultural Geography! One of the most obvious one was the trail markers, Corin's and Blazen. People had to go and paint that little dash on the tree. They have to repeatedly do that. The trail marks were not made by the mountains. On the top of Cardigan Mountain, was a fire tower. The fire tower was made by man. The wood might have come from the forest but the actual building was man-made. Also the stuff inside the fire tower was also made by man. On your way down the mountain(the way towards South Peak) there is a path called the Hurricane Trail. At the bottom of that, there is a High Cabin. The High Cabin is a Cabin that is 4 triple bunks that are in one room. That was made by humans. Even though it is in the middle of the woods and nowhere. There are a lot of Cultural Geography! examples, and a lot of Physical Geography! examples.

We were there for 3 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday was the day that we arrived at Cardigan. Thursday was the day that we hiked the mountains. Friday was the day we left, sadly.
