Cuba is the largest island that is in the West Indies. puerto rico is the only one of the islands in the West Indies that is owned by the United States of America. Sadly this Island is in a lot of trouble with all of the natural disasters. The bahamas are a very nice country and are the birth place of the music regae! The dominican republic is one of the islands that is shared with another. One of which is very poor. On the other hand The Dominican Republic is a very steady country!

Who: People that live their are many different ethinicities. For example, there are European, Hispanic, and even French people that live their other than all of the islanders.

What: The West Indies are a shaped group of islands that are more than 2,000 miles long. They include the Blue Mountains, and include lots of different minerals.

When:During the Cratacious period the West Indies were formed by crustacean and sand. Over time the crustacean would grow and die, repeatedly for the past three-hundred years.

Where: Just north of the carribean sea is where the West Indies lay.

Why: The West Indies are a very large area of islands where many beautiful places are.
