Summary: Christopher Columbus men arrived on what is now known as haiti in search of jewels and other precious treasures to bring back to england. They found Islanders which were also identified as cannibals by Columbus. So then they were sent to Portugal where to be identified and or be thrown in jail.

I feel that the Islanders were right to feel that way because Columbus Crew were complete strangers, and was the most righteous decision because of Columbuss brutality. It reminds me of a story more on the Mexican and American point of view which is a big topic right now in politics and is a family matter on my part so I would rather not add much information. It does not impact my life very much other than knowing that Columbus was on his way back to England when he had to be sent to Portugal to be identified and questioned.
