I arrived about an hour late to Cardigan because I had sprained my ankle and need to get it checked out. But when I did arrive at Cardigan AMC Lodge the first thing I noticed was how big the lodge was. As my friends helped me inside (because I was on crutches) I got to go up to my room which had two bunk beds and a window and it was a decent size. Then I went downstairs to figure out whose group I was in for hiking. I ended up being in Rachel's group, she was our group leader for the rest of our time at Cardigan :) After that we went on a Nature trail which I didn't think I was going to go on but I did. And it was hard but fun. I fell a few times though considering I was on crutches. We stopped to sketch about 5-6 times and by the last time I didn't want to sketch anymore. Hiking was an example of Human Environment Interaction becuase I personally crossed multiple brideges,. Finally we made it back to the lodge after the 1 mile nature trail hike and I sat down to rest my foot for a few minutes and then I got up and went outside to play with my friends who were passing a frisbee and ball and although I couldn't run I Just stood there and catch and threw them with my friends. After that it was time for dinner which was spaghetti and a few other things. I didn't eat though because I had ate earlier and wasn't hungry. After dinner I went upstairs to my bunk room and hung out with my 3 friends, Audrey, Hannah and Kayanna. We talked and hung out until it was time to go to bed, but overall my Day 1 at Cardigan was very fun and I had HEI (Human Environment Interaction) in my day multiple times.
