Summary: On January 6th, Columbus and his crew sailed into the Lisbon harbor. The ship they we are was the Nina. They successfully sailed all the way to Portugal and proved to there home that the world was 19,000 miles in circumference. Later in time the world found out that the earth is actually 24,000-25,000 miles in circumference.
I think that changing the name of Columbus day is a good idea. My reasoning is beacuse Cloumbus was a mean man and a liar! There fore we really shouldn't have a day named after a mean human being.
