Day 1 at Cardigan Mountain
When I got to the bus stop, everybody was already there, and soon after, the bus was too. We loaded up our stuff onto the trailer, and hopped on the bus. We drove there and absolutely had to get off the bus or we would go crazy. We decided that it would be a good idea to try and tip the bus over by rocking it. It didn't work. When they finally let us off the bus, we headed to the big field next to the lodge to play some games. We learned how to play magnetic toes, and sat down. The boys next to me were playing around with a magnifying glass, trying to light things on fire. They **moved** this crazy idea to Cardigan to light things on fire. We got our trail guide, and headed upstairs to unpack our things. We then got our hiking boots on, grabbed our lunches, and headed outside to meet our trail guide. Then we played magnetic toes and ate lunch. We started hiking and found a really cool salamander, and we sketched it, after a full day of hiking we headed down to get to our rooms. We cleaned up, and went to dinner. After we ate, we headed outside for our first evening activity. We got blindfolded, and learned how to hike using our ears. We star gazed, then headed inside for stories and sleep.
