I woke up by the sound of my phone vibrating, alerting me that someone had sent me a text. Bending my back in an awkward position to look at my phone I read: Ready for Cardigan! I got out of bed and studied my bag to make sure I had everything. Giving myself an ok I went to the garage, hauling my duffle bag behind me and then throwing it in the trunk. My parents were already prepared and got right in the car, and we were on our way to the high school. When we got there, everyone was all ready and waiting for the bus, so I hopped out and joined them after putting my stuff in a trailer. Eventually the bus came and we were on our way to Cardigan.
After about forty five minutes we arrived. The many solar panels allowed energy and heat in the cabin, a for of human environment interaction. After playing some games we had cabin time for about half an hour. And after that we came back outside and were assigned into groups. I was assigned to Scotts group which we would hike with for the rest of the trip. We headed west of the lodge toward firescrew and cardigan but then we took several left turns and ended up at a beaver pond. Everywhere you stepped there was some lifeform that would move at of your way, there were so many animals. After a while there we headed back to the cabin to came upon a cellar that had been abandoned and is now filled with plants. After discovering this we went back to the cabin and ate a delicious dinner of tacos. Then we went back up to our room and went to sleep.
