Summary:
On January 6th they had to leave one of the ships in Cuban water. The crew found indians, and other tribes that were carrying weapons. once the crew left the Cuban waters with only 2 ships they found themselves battling very harsh winds. Soon after the winds came a massive storm rolle in . One of the ships got lost and was taken hundreds of miles off course. There was only 1 ship left that made it back to the mainland.
In my opion I think that Coulumbus day should be changed to something else. becasue after reserching a peopson who was a geniouse, but also an idiot, I think that people now relize that he is remembered for all the wrong things. For exsample, evryone thinks that he discovered America but he did not. infact overall the was not a very nice person; He would lie to his crew, and treated people who were gracialy letting him stay in 'their' waters horribly. Also he had to leave some of his crew behind. I am not one to say erase history, becuse I love to learn about the past, but if the past is miss leading and wrong then I think something should be done about it. There is never going to be another Columbus, and there is never going to be mistakes like he made, he thought he was in china! Not evryone is going to think this way, but this is just my opion.
