Day 2

<h2>
Day two, Human Environment Interaction
</h2>
</center>
	Human environment interaction looks at the relationship between people and the environment; how people adapt to the environment and how they change it. You can use human environment interaction to describe how people and their environments interact with each other, in this case the environment in Cardigan. Us humans interacted with the environment all three days of Cardigan but in these paragraphs I will be talking about day two.
<h3>
Morning (waking up)
</h3>
	After a night of getting more sleep than I expected, Mr. Woolner opened the door a crack and woke us up. We had a little bit more free time before we (Lauras group) got called down to set up breakfast. While the rest of the groups got to sit on the huge couch drinking hot chocolate we had to set up breakfast. When we finished the chore, breakfast was also immediately served. This morning there was french toast, bacon, biscuits, and eggs that you could choose from. I served myself an abundance of french toast with a side of bacon and biscuits. By the time breakfast had been finished I had eaten a whopping six whole biscuits. We also had to pack our lunches for the day of hiking. After packing our lunches we went back to our bunks to get ready for our day of hiking. Mr. Woolner insisted that we wear no cotton and lots of warm stuff because today we would be hiking to the top of Cardigan mountain (and maybe others).
<h3>
Evening (hiking)
</h3>
	 To start the evening we met with our groups at our meeting spot. We mapped out where we were going to hike for the day and talked about how many mountain we would climb. We ended up deciding to first hike up Firescrew, and they hike the saddle of Firescrew and Cardigan until we got to the summit of Cardigan. After a break on the peak of Cardigan we would hike back down all the way to the AMC lodge. Trails are a great example of human environment interaction, this is correct because people made the trails changing the environment. Also when we are hiking these trails we are out in wildlife and we get to experience the great outdoors, changing us in a way. After a lot of planning we got started, as we hiked we passed many streams, streams that we were not allowed to explore. However we did play lots of games along the way. For example, for one game we had to clip each other with a clothespin, and whoever had the clothespin when we stopped for a break had a press conference. During this one minute press conference we asked the person questions about them in order to get to know them better. Another game that we played was when Laura clipped the clothes pin on something and we had to find it. At one time we even tried to call migrating chickadees again, but this time it did not work. Calling chickadees would also be an example of human environment interaction. We humans are changing the way the chickadees see us, also the chickadees think that we are one of them. The environment changed us because we got to see the chickadees up close helping us learn about them. After stopping multiple other times to sketch, and lots of hiking we made it to the top of Firescrew. At the summit we shared a package of Chips Ahoy among the group. Soon after reaching the summit we headed down the saddle of the two mountains. Our group was generally very slow (at least for me) but when we went down that saddle I almost fell asleep we were going so slow. Finally we got to the top of Mount Cardigan, at the op we took a group picture and had about ten minutes of free time before we headed back out again. In no time we were already hiking back down Cardigan to the AMC lodge. To pass time on the way back Alex, Amelia, Alexis (lexi), and I (AAAK), played a game of dare or dare on the way down the mountain. Once we had made it back to the AMC lodge we had some more free time on our hands. My bunk mates and I played a couple card games, and fooled around with each other. Somehow is the next ten minuets Payton got electrocuted by a wire hanging from the ceiling, and Lincoln almost got sent home.
<h3>
Night (settling down)
</h3>
After all the chaos in our free time we all got collected back up and met at a campfire. At the campfire we sang songs with each other and danced and followed what the counselors did. Following the singing we broke into our hiking groups and had to make our own song based on the past two days. Personally I thought our song was the best, but to be honest our scene that we acted out was even better. When everyone was finished acted out there scene we went back inside and got ready for bed. That night I slept okay, but I could still hear the loud kids in the other rooms.
