My Trip to Cardigan

Absolute - 774 Shem Valley Road, Alexandria, NH. Relative - to get to Cardigan lodge you can drive to the end of shem valley road, and it is the building with a field and is close to a pond.

At the bottom of Cardigan there was a lot of woods with trees of all kinds, and had a normal climate. But as we got higher the mountain got harder to climb. This was because of the slippery rocks. After getting closer to the top we noticed that there were only evergreens. When we finally reached the top it ended up being only rock.

After the bus ride, we unloaded our gear in front of the AMC lodge which was a big 4 story gray building with a field to the left side of it. When you walked in through the front door you would find yourself in a mudroom where you would take your shoes of. Then if you walked about 45 degrees to your right there would be stairs that would bring you to the other floors.

We were there for three days; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
