Cardigan Mtn. has lots of different sights, sounds, and smells; some of them being physical geography. On the top of the mountain, you will see that it is bare, with some berry bushes and lichens that take hundreds of years to grow. If you were to take a different trail, you may see welton falls, the old beaver pond, and plenty of streams. Common plants include hobble bush, princess pine, and indian cucumber.
You will also find cultural geography as well. This includes; the AMC lodge, AMC high cabins, and old fire towers. Inside the AMC lodge, there is cultural geography! everywhere! Food, bathrooms, bunk rooms, and all of it is run on even more cultural geography: solar panels!
The absolute location of the Cardigan Mountain AMC lodge is located on Shem valley road in Alexandria NH. It's cordinates are - lat: 43.649689 lon: 71.877947 elevation: 1386ft.
The Cardigan lodge is located north of Hopkinton and West of Newfound lake. It is also near the large town of Danbury. Also, the lodge is obviously located toward the middle/base of Cardigan Mountain.
