Summary: (PARAGRAPH FORM, Who, What, Where, When, Why) The Pinta and Nina got separated in a huge storm, making each other think the other one sunk. Columbus was trying to get back to Spain, through a “carib” came aboard. They had seen some of his natives on land , and started some trading. An argument broke out between the crew and the natives, and some of the natives got killed or injured because of the attack. Columbus planned to travel east, going through the “South of the Azores”, though he planned to not stop at these islands because of the “Portuguese rule.” While sailing back to Spain, (like mentioned earlier) a huge storm hit the two ships, and they got separated, Since Columbus was on the Nina, he was in charge of the ship. The sailors saw land, but it was the Santa Maria in the Azores. They ended up getting arrested to the “island’s Portuguese inhabitants” though Columbus was able to convince then to set them free.
