My Most Fabulous 1st Trip to Cardigan Mountain!

Mount Cardigan is a prominent bare-rock summit in the towns of Orange and Alexandria in western New Hampshire.

The base of Mount Cardigan was where we spent most of our time after hiking. Weather it was a check in or after dinner when we went out to play games or the 1 times we had a bonfire where we acted out our trip. The AMC Lodge provided us with all of that making our trip worthwhile. With the AMC Lodge directly at the bottom of Cardigan west to Newfound Lake we would have to hike all the way back at the end of the day. Also the town of Bristol New Hampshire is East of Cardigan Mountain. The longitude and latitude of the AMC Lodge is 43 degrees, 38 minutes, 57.3 seconds North. Its longitude being 71 degrees, 52 minutes and 39.5 second west. And lastly the elevation of 1,387 feet.
Culteral Place
At Mount Cardigan there were trails leading us up the mountain. With the trails being packed down they were easy to follow. As soon as we reached the summit of Cardigan at the top at a fire tower. Used for watching out for near fires. The view at the top of the mountain was breathtaking considering being able to see Newfound Lake, many colored trees and even the AMC Lodge.
Physical Place
The yellow and blue markers on trees and the ground on the way up to Mount Cardigan were the two trail paths that also lead to the top of firescrew in two different ways. We had taken the yellow trail. These trails were so commonly used that the trail was nothing but completly compacted dirt. As we were hiking to the top other hikers outside our school came to hike Cardigan as well. While we were hiking we had passed the high cabin and the fire tower. The fire towers was at the summit and we passed it as we were heading down the mountain. The high cabin was really cool it has 4 sets of bunkbeds that consisted or three beds each. It had a kitchen and a table, that table is where we talked about our day on day 2.We were at Mount Cardigan for 3 days. On Sunday we explored a bever pond. On Monday we hike to the summit of Firescrew and Cardigan. On Tuesday we explored Welton falls. Sunday Monday Tuesday. On Sunday we explored a bever pond.
