October Second 2017
On day three I woke up to the sound of phone alarms going off below me again. I was the third one of my bunk up so I was woken up by Max and John and then stood in the corner to get dressed, while they did the same in other corners. I didn’t have to go down early to set up for breakfast today so I took my time getting ready. I sat with Lincoln and some more of my friends at breakfast. After we made lunch we went outside to discuss with our groups the where we were going, our group was going to wellton falls. About an hour into the hike we had an argument about jobs and reached wellton falls. There was a little trail going down and a guard rail, which are both examples of human environment interaction. On the way down the path there was a slippery part so I purposely slid down and then gracefully grabbed a tree and spun around while holding onto it so my momentum would slow down. At first I thought it was unnecessary, but then drew came down and fell on his butt.
We stopped to sketch and we looked for fish in the water. I got a little closer to the water and then fell down into up to my knees. As I kept trying to get back up I kept falling 'till I finally figured out how to get a grip on the rock. On our way back we stopped at a stream, but left soon because people were throwing rocks. We did a solo hike for a while, but then tessa was too far back so we had to wait for her to catch up. When we got back I finally got to talk with my friends. Our general consensus was that the funnest part was the time in our bunks and the lodge.
