Day 1 At Mt.Cardigan Trip

Day 1

On day 1 we left the school at 8:15 to go to Mt. Cardigan. On the bus me, Kody, Ashley, Naomi and Vincent were talking and were playing wave to the cars. We played that the whole bus ride there. So when we got to the mountain, we all had to grab our stuff and race up to our rooms and get the PERFECT bed. I got the bottom bunk, Kody got the top bunk and Finn and Noah had the other beds in the room. But I got the perfect bed that had sheets and doubled blankets. Me and Kody traded beds. So I got the top and Kody got the bottom bunk. After we got all of that figured out we got ready to hike and got our groups for the trip. I got put with Andy, Lance W and Dianna J. So the theme of the day was MOVEMENT because we moved from AMC Lodge to Wellington Falls. We stopped every 500 feet to mark a waypoint and do a quick sketch. We hiked for the full half day and then we headed back to the lodge and got dinner. We also, got to change out of our hiking clothes and got an hour of free time before dinner. We had tacos for the first night dinner and they were REALLY good. During dinner Kody almost choked because Naomi made him laugh.After dinner we had to get more hiking clothes on because we were doing an night time hike. We played a game that was call Get my Baaaaaby and it was really fun. Katelyn was the best at the game. At that we did a blindfold walk into the middle of the woods. Then we sat down and start to call owls... Until something said Is someone in the woods. Then Finn started to do an evil laugh and scared the whole group and the group could not stop talking about that for the rest of the night. Also Finn got in trouble. After doing the night hike we all went inside and got ready for bed, at less that what you should think but my bunk stayed for a few more hours talking and keeping up Noah so he would not go to sleep. But that is all I can say for that night, the rest may be untold. That was the first day at Cardigan Mountain.
