Day Two

On our second day of our Mt. Cardigan trip, we woke up, and had breakfast. The left over food (ort) was moved from the AMC lodge to a nearby farm with pigs to feed them. I don't know where the idea of ort came from. We then hiked up Mt. Cardigan. On our way to the summit, we came across various streams, with their water flowing down to the bottom of the mountain. Also, At the summit of Cardigan, the winds were moving very quickly. We also saw a helicopter land and take off from the summit of the mountain. At the summit of Firescrew, we saw a merlin, a rare bird, fly away from the mountain as well other birds we saw. The theme I used was movement. Things moving from the summit of Cardigan, and to Cardigan, leftover food moving from the lodge to a pig pens are great examples of this.
