Day One

On the first day of our Mt. Cardigan trip, we took a bus ride to the an A.M.C lodge built in the woods to house people. That day, we went on our first hike, on a trail that took us to Welton falls, that had guard rails that people put there so we wouldn't fall in. On our way there, we stopped several times to sketch. We also stopped at a section of the river where we could find bugs. We took them out of the water and into ice trays. Their sizes ranging from a half an inch long, to and inch and a half. We then continued down the trail, stopping to sketch every so often. The trails were very well kept for a path in the woods, because the trail crew keeps it looking nice and able to be walked on. We also had really good tacos that night, made by the AMC crew. These are just some of the best things that happened on the first day of our Cardigan trip. The theme I used was human and environment interaction. Old cars, well kept trails and other things were examples of this.
