Place

The Summit of Mt. Cardigan is a very beautiful place. It is an all rock summit with a fire tower on top. From the bottom Cardigan Mountain is a beautiful sight. There are trees on the way up, getting shorter and shorter, until all you see is the beautiful summit. From the top of the mountain you can see the AMC lodge, and Newfound lake. You can also see surrounding towns such as Orange, and Alexandria New Hampshire. You can see other mountians both near and far. As well as the saddle to Mt. Firescrew. As for getting to the top, there is a trail all the way up and down the mountain marked with colored lines on trees and rocks that you have to look out for and read the signs as well.

Mt. Cardigan trails were made by the crew at AMC. They have a beautiful lodge that people can stay at. There are also guides that hiked with us on our trip there. The markers on the trees and rocks are also make by the AMC crew. The AMC or Appalachian Mountain Club works to keep everything safe without harming the environment around the trails.

Location

One of the places on our way to Mt. Cardigan was located at 43 degrees 38 minuites and 58.6 minuites North, and 071 degrees 53 minuites and 23.1 seconds. This spot is very close to the AMC lodge we stayed in.This spot is also about a hour and a half north of Contoocook New Hampshire.
