Day 2

On day 2 of being at Cardigan Mountain we got up and ate breakfast. Then we got into our hiking groups, and started hiking Cardigan Mountain and maybe some other mountains if we had time. We had to use a map to find certain Regions of where we would hike, which just happens to one of the 5 themes of geography. We had to use the map to locate Cardigan and Firescrew. On the way we located the right trails to take us to the top of the mountains. One of our instructors ate a leaf from the ground for some unknown reason. We also tried to locate a plant, but failed in finding it. On the way down the mountain we went through different regions of the mountain. We went through the alpine zone as well as a region where there were certain types of trees. We went to the region where the apple trees were, and a region where there seemed to be lots and lots of beech trees. As we got to the end of the hike we had our hour or so of free time. Then we ate dinner and went outside in the dark for a long time. We also walked around in the dark blindfolded through the woods on trails. We played a fun game called bat and moth in the dark too. We had a really really fun night.
