My trip Day 1

We got on the bus and drove to Cardigan lodge but that took some time because we got a little lost on one of the roads. When we arrived we got off the bus and met our instructors. After playing a few games, we got to see who was in our group and then ate lunch. After lunch, we got to go into our rooms. After about an hour of being with friends we went on our first hike, but before we did that we decided what our name was going to be. We became the Sassy Squirrels. We started to do a scavenger hunt, but we had some trouble finding campsite two. So then we just started to walk on the nature trail. We learned about some leaves and trees, some edible plants, and some not edible plants. We played a few games and one of them was very challenging because I was scratched many times because I could not see. I had to find a certain tree which a person showed me when I could still not see. We crossed many rivers that had there own bridges and we even found some salamanders. And when we went back to our rooms we had a delicious dinner. It was spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce. We also had bread sticks, caesar salad and we also had parmesan cheese. Then for dessert we had a brownie with vanilla ice cream. After we had a night hike where we had to use a bandana so we could not see. Finally we went to bed. There were many regions at Cardigan. There was the Cardigan area, the boys section the girls section, the nature trail, and the AMC. On our hike we saw many of these different regions on day 1 at Cardigan.
