The Mount Cardigan summit is located in the Town of Orange and Alexandria. Mt Cardigan is located in the west of NH. Mt Cardigan is west of the AMC lodge at the base of Mount Cardigan. The Mount Cardigan summit is located South west of the Summit of Firescrew. An absolute location of AMC lodge is N 43 degrees, 38 minutes, and 58.1 seconds and W 71 degrees, 52 minutes, 52.9 seconds.
Mount cardigan is a great hiking place with lots of cool physical things. Some physical things on Mount cardigan are how cold, and windy the summit of Mount Cardigan is. Physical things can also be the cool huge overhanging rock that was above our heads as we hiked up the mountain. There is the bare rock granite summit of Mount Cardigan itself. Also at the top of Firescrew were trees that were flagging. Flagging usually happens at the top of mountains when the wind is constantly blowing one way causing the tree branches to grow out mostly to one side making the tree flag. Also on the top of Firescrew there was an alpine bog. So those are a lot of physical things near Mount Cardigan.
Some Cultural things on the trails of Mount cardigan are things like the trail markers that showed you were to go. Or the steel railing that kept you from falling to your death. Or the woodens steps that helped you down the mountain. There was also the carens that were built on the summit of Firescrew. Even the Food from the AMC Cardigan Lodge and actually the lodge itself was a physical thing. The Carvings imbedded in the rock at the summit of Mount Cardigan. The fire tower at the top of Mount Cardigan was a cultural thing. Also the bridge on the way down the mountain or the old dam on the nature trail. The trails themselves were cultural things. Lastly on the way down from Mount Cardigan there was a weird ladder that my group and I carried a quarter way back down the mountain. These are all Cultural things near Mount Cardigan.
