Location
The relitive location of cardigan mountians fire tower on the top of the mountain, is West from Newfound lake, but North from firescrew summit. The absolute location of cardigans summit is N 43 degrees,38 minutes, and 59 seconds,W 71 degrees, 54 minutes, and 53 seconds. The elevation of the highest point on mount cardigan is 3,155.
Place
There were many different Physical features of cardigan. Such as Welton Falls, Bailly Brook, Caves that were carved into the mountain, there was also Glacial Tarn at the summit of firescrew, plants, sutch as indian cucumbers and ferns, trees like amarican beach or the hemlock tree, but the coolest tree was the Maplock, there are a lot more physical but I have to save some room for Cultural features.
Cultural features are man made items when Physical features are natural. Some examples of cultural features are the windmills, punch buggy, bridges, fire tower at summit of cardigan, Lodge, picknick tables, the trail marks and signs were also cultural featurs. There are manny differant cultural featurs but I think it would take to long to list them all to you.
We were at cardigan for three days, Sunday we went on a small hike to welton falls and went out at night for nightime activitys. On Monday we went on a hike to the summit of Cardigan and Firescrew. On Tuesday we went on the nature loop and had a cumpass course, and then we left on the bus.
