Hiking Cardigan

Location
The AMC Lodge is 1 hour and 9 minutes away from Hopkinton.The location of AMC Cardigan Lodge is at N 43 degrees 38 minutes 53 seconds and W 071 degrees 52 minutes 40.2 seconds. It is in the town Alexandria and Orange NH. The lodge is at the end of Shem Valley Road. Also, it is north of Grafton. That is the absolute and relative location of the AMC Cardigan Lodge.
Cardigan Was Different
Cardigan was very different than Hopkinton. There were many different trees like, the hemple. That is a hemlock tree that was surrounded by a maple tree. There were also hobble bushes. As we hiked, the trees got smaller, and there were spruce trees towards the top. There was bare granite with tiny trees and moss in the cracks of the rock. Carens and blazes led the rooty trail. In some areas there were fallen trees, some chopped by an axe. On the ground, there were mushrooms. Some were on the trees. In fact, one tree was covered in mushrooms. On the trail, there was a cool rock wall in the summit of Rimrock. that had been built. All these things made Cardigan different than what I see in Hopkinton.
Cardigan Was Special
Cardigan was very special. When we were hiking, we saw a helicopter land on Cardigan. It turns out that they were practicing landing on the mountain, and they flew in circles around the mountains. The fire tower building on the summit was very special. It was a huge wind-breaker for me, since all my clothes were wet from my water bottle. The guides were special, too. They had a great sense of humor. Also, we did many games, some in the night. One game was being blindfolded and hold the person's shoulder, and the guide led (not blindfolded.) Towards the end of the trip, we did a game and found a car engine that was used for a chairlift up on a hill. Next to the chairlift engine, there was a Volkswagon Beetle. Everything about the trip was exciting and fun.
