On day two we went on a long hike, our group hiked two mountains, Cardigan and Firescrew. We hiked seven miles in a day. On top of firescrew we did a human pyramid and experienced the odd Alpine Bog. On the top of Cardigan we saw the Fire Tower and took some cool action shots of falling off the cliff But there is a specific element of geography on the trails, it is Human Environment Interaction. The AMC trail crews maintain the trails so hikers can experience the great outdoors while making it possible to summit mountains. The mountains changed us too by teaching us many things and letting some people learn that they love hiking. On our hike we were able to experience hiking the mountains and having fun on a three day vacation from school.
