Day 2

On day 2 we woke up around 7 am because we were already at Cardigan. We got changed and headed down for breakfast to eat some yummy food. After we ate we got our sandwiches together packed up our stuff and met with our groups. Unfortunately the person leading my group got sick and was not able to continue. We got a new guy instead! We hiked down one of the trails and sketched did a few games and stuff. After walking for awhile it started to get really steep. Once we made it up one part we got to sit down and have lunch on PJ ledge! It was a really pretty view and we were not very far from the summit. We set off again. Throughout this the theme of geography is Human Environment interaction because we saw that the people who care for the trails put up signs and altered rocks and logs so hikers could easily get up and down the trails. The hiking was also impacting ourselves whether it was physically or mentally. We had finally reached the summit where we sketched and took in the view. Firescrew was only a short hike away. We made it to the summit of Firescrew and there there was a alpine bog. We sketched and made our way down Firescrew back to the lodge. Going down Firescrew was scary. That was my least favorite part of the day. We got back to the lodge which was good because everyone was tired and sweaty. We got back around 5:30 pm an hour later than everyone else. We ate our dinner took showers and then had a bonfire. There we sang songs did a skit and had fun. Mr. Woolner told us stories and then we went to bed and that sums up day 2.
