Location: Here is the Relative Location of the Mt. Cardigan summit. The summit of Mt. Cardigan is on Earth in the Western Hemisphere continent of North America. It is in the North American country called the United States of America in a region called New England, which is in the northeastern part of the United States. Within New England, Mt Cardigan is located in the State of New Hampshire, which is located in central New England. Mt. Cardigan is near the surrounding New Hampshire towns of Canaan, Grafton, Dorchester, Bristol and Enfield. It is located between New Hampshire routes 4 and 3A, east of Newfound Lake. The summit can found in the town of Orange within the Cardigan Mountain State Forest. The actual location of Mt. Cardigan is 43.6498 degrees N latitude and 71.9148 degrees W longitude.

Place: Cardigan Mountain was different and special form other places that I have been. There are many physical differences. First, it is a mountain which we don't have in Hopkinton. Second, there were many different types of trees such as Spruce, Hemlock, Maple and my favorite, the Hemple. There were also many streams around the mountain probably fed by rain and snow runoff. Also there was a small river that led to Welton Falls which was one of the more beautiful spots in the area except for the peak of Mt. Cardigan. Mt. Cardigan's bare rock summit overlooking Newfound Lake was the most beautiful things on the trip. There were also some special features that you might think are physical geography but are actually more likely cultural geography (put there by humans) like the pond or apple trees.

I saw many other examples of cultural geography on our trip to Mt. Cardigan. First, there was the AMC Lodge which was put there so that people can enjoy the physical geography of the mountain. On top of Mt. Cardigan, there were USGS markers that show the elevation of the mountain. Another piece of cultural geography was the ski and walking trails. Also there were really old farm foundations. Finally, there was a really old car engine that powered a ski lift when the Lodge first opened. I think that the cultural and physical geography of Mt. Cardigan is what made it special and different. It was a great trip.

We were at Mt. Cardigan for 3 days Sunday the 25, Monday the 26 and Tusday the 27 2016.
