My Last Wonderful Day at Cardigan

On day 3 of the Cardigan trip we woke up and again had a no ORT breakfast. Then we got ready to go outside and meet our groups. We went up the trail and went into one of the campground places to do stuff with compasses. We played games with the compasses and then did a small scavenger hunt leading us to cool thimgs like trees or rocks. We went up this huge hill which was a ski hill, and saw a pulley for a ski lift and on old 1900 Bug. Once we checked out the car and the pulley we started heading back down the hill. After that we went to the pond off of the lodge and drew a sketch the n tried to find insects in the pond. We found a lot and then after identified what bug was which. After we picked a bug and drew a sketch of that bug. Then we went in the woods and Gretchen went to lay out cards on the trail we were going to go on. One by one we all started walking on the trail looking at all the cards Gretchen left. Some of them were weird and did not make sense to us. When we all were done with the trail we all headed up to the lodge. Our stuff was already in the trailer ready to go home and the bus was there. We all then got on the bus ready to go home while waving googdbye to our AMC lodge leaders. Then the bus started going and when we got back to the school everybody went home. Throughout the day we went through three Regions, the wooded region was when we went into the trail with the cards. The next region was the open meadow region when we did the compass scavenger hunt in the open campground meadow. Regions are part of the five themes of geography the last region was the pond where we did the pond study. The Cargian trip was an amazing experience and I have not done anything like it.
