My third day at cardigan was the one I might possibly remember the clearest. It was cold outside, too cold for my liking anyways, and we started off the day with a breakfast built for a king. (Or in our case, a whole lot of seventh graders.) I soon found out that we were to go on a nature trail hike, though maybe it was more of a walk. When we heard the news I, myself, was glad we were going to be doing a bit more low key activities than the day before, for I was quite exhausted, but still ready to learn. We first packed our belongings, (of course this task took the boys much longer to accomplish than the girls!) then we set off, for one last day of unbelievable wilderness adventures. We learned a lot about the G.P.S system including how to hold it properly, how to receive the latitude and longitude, which we already had discovered in geography class, though this was a helpful reminder. We soon walked back, almost too soon if you ask me, and played many fun games by the beautiful pond near the lodge. There was a brilliant, crisp color to the combination of the leaves, dangling off the branches of the brown tree arms, and the shiny blue of the pond that made it appear almost the same color of the sky reflection in it.This was an example of regionsbecause regions can even be a small body of water! Then, many of us sad to be leaving, hopped on the bus to take the long, yet beautiful ride home.
This concludes the three days we explored, adventure, and left Cardigan Mountain. It was a fascinating, beautiful experience that I hope I come to once more. This paragraph included regions which are areas that may be defined by specific charactoristics. I was in Tobi's group were we had waypoints 3,6
