At the start of the second day on my trip to Cardigan, I had a hard time waking up. Eventually I picked myself up out of bed and went downstairs, surprisingly, I wasnt late for breakfast despite anticipating so. We had scrambled eggs and bacon, I didnt eat much even though I was told to. We ate, got ready to hike, and were on our way to scaling Mount Cardigan.
I was one of the slowest kids on the hike, it was very steep at many parts and very long. There were many different regions of this mountain. Some were rocky and very slanted, some were grassy and flat, some even reminded me of Mount Kearsarge, probably the easiest hike ever. Eventually we made it to the top and I did a sketch of the view as well as some free drawings that I usually, instead of in science class I was doing it on the summit of a mountain!
We made our way down on the steep loop that lead us down to our lodge. We got down and were rewarded with M&Ms, the amount was decided on how well you did as a team member on the hike, or more accurately, your amount of complaining during it. Then we went back to the lodge, hung out, listened to Mr. Woolners story which was made by a relative of his, and went to our bunks and eventually to sleep.
Heres a sketch of the summit of mt. Cardigan.
To be continued.
