CULTURAL: In cardigan lodge we had a cultural meal, and games. We had ORT which means leftover food, and games that we’ve played in school like steal the bacon ( we turned it into steal the leaf). Cardigan lodge was built in 1931 so I would say it’s cultural because it's been in NH for about 87 years in NH! Cairns on the mountain are cultural because they were put there to lead the way to the top of the mountain (like landmarks). The bazes are a cultural thing because the AMC trail association puts them there so you know your way to the top and don't get lost. The bridges are cultural because we need them to cross rough waters or long ditches, or even mud. The windmills on the top of mountains, or near by mountains are used for energy for our electricity.
PHYSICAL: The glaciers coming up Fire Screw is a physical because it was created by the earth by water freezing and pushing the huge rock into two big rocks and it wasn't manmade because people don't stand there and freeze water to push the rock into two. Welton Falls is a physical because water pushed through rocks and made this beautiful waterfall. Mushrooms in in dirt going up the mountain are physicals because they grow there on there own with no one feeding them water, food, or cleaning the soil it takes care of itself. Many things on Cardigan Mountain have a physical, or a cultural side to the organism, object, or even mountains and Cardigan lodge.
We stayed at cardigan for 3 days. we were there on Sunday and Monday, and Tuesday.
