Day 1 at Cardigan

Day 1 When We first got off of the bus at cardigan everyone was looking around in wonder at the AMC Lodge. We were all so excited to move into our rooms but they were not ready yet. So a group of AMC leaders got us together and we played a game. It is called Predators vs Prey. To start the game you can pick two or three taggers. Those are the predators everyone else is prey. The peders get a ball to tag with. Once they have the ball they can't move but they can throw the ball. After the ball is thrown if it hits someone in the air they become a predator but if it bounces and then hits someone they stay a prey. Then the last one standing wins. After we played that game we played a few more games than we had lunch and started on our hikes. My instructors were my Dad and Gretchen. We decided to go to Welton Falls for our hike. As we started we walked a little then we stopped to make way points and sketches.We interacted with environment or HEI by learning about trees plants and other stuff like that. When we reached Welton Falls we took a long deserved break after walking for so long. As we took a break we made a waypoint and drew a sketch. Then some people(not me) went down to the caves behind Welton Falls witch also is HEI. After that we started to head back to the AMC lodge. As we went we made a few more sketches and waypoints. Then when we got back we had some snakes and played a few fun game then ate dinner. After that Mr. Wollner read us a story about BlackBread then we went to bed and got a good night's rest.
