The Africans, the Spanish, Europeans and Americans influenced the culture. In 1898 the Cubans destroyed the *USS Maine in the harbor of Havana*. This caused a lot of conflict between Cuba and the U.S.
4. Government- How is Cuba different from every other country in the Western Hemisphere?
Cuba is run by a dictator and is a communist state.
