On the second day of the Cardigan trip we did the whole hike to the top of Cardigan and to the top of Fire Screw. When we first woke up in the morning we had breakfast it was a muffin with eggs and bacon. After that we made our lunch which was a sandwich with a apple, granola bar and cookie. Then we got ready to go on the hike to the top of Fire Screw and Cardigan. When we were on the hike we were sketching and using the GPS's for the location and elevation. It was about 2.5 miles to the top of Cardigan and when we were on top of Fire Screw we were in the spruce region because there were so many of them we also saw a military helicopter land and the co-pilot waved to us and we were very happy. Then we continued our hike to the top of cardigan which was not more than .5 of a mile from Fire Screw. When we got to the top of Cardigan we were excited to sit and take cover from the cold wind. After we had our break we started our trip back down the mountain this was a much easier trail and it was also down hill so it didn’t take much effort to move. After we got back to the lodge we were exhausted so we went to our rooms and relaxed until dinner and it was lasagna it was awesome! Then we got told a story by Mr. Woolner and we went up to our rooms and talked until we fell asleep.
