Day Two
September 26 Monday

I woke up in my freezing cold room with my 4 bunkmates all awake. The window had slowly moved down throughout the night, leaving a large gap between the outside and us, cold air filled up the room making me not want to get out of my warm sleeping bag. We all slowly trudged down stairs the idea that we were hungry in our heads as we sipped hot cocoa waiting for breakfast. We all ate the bountiful breakfast then started to pack our lunch bags, and quickly packed our day bags. I stood there looking for my group not ready for the long day of hiking ahead for us. My patagonia that came from the town of New London to my house in hopkinton than to school once before, and now at mount Cardigan. We started to hike up the fire scrow. Stopping to sketch and mark way points. We stopped for lunch near the summit of fire scrow. I we sat on a rock near surrounded by spiky moss and I ate my PB&J sandwich. That sandwich had moved up from the lodge with me in my backpack, getting slowly squashed with my every step. Then after that we kept on climbing some people in my group complaining over and over again. We reached many false summit every time we thought we were close but never really where. We took breaks and sketched more, took more waypoints and ate more food. Until finley we were at the summit and we did not even stop at the summit we just kept on going to the next mountain which was mount cardigan. The journey from one mouton to the other was a lot shorter then I was expecting. Very soon we were at the summit of Cardigan. Hard could rock lays on to of is a bare rock summit. We stay there for a while hanging out and sketching. Then we started making our way back down the steep easy to slip on trails. The climb down way faster than the way up. We were there super quickly at least it felt like it. As we got back free time had just started and I hung out and talk with my friends about our days. Then soon after it was dinner, chicken with mustard and bacon. After that we had story time and bed.
