The caribean islands were named because of the natives called the caribs,but for some strange reason people added "bean" to the end of it.the caribean islands consist of 4 major islands.The islands are called Cuba,puerto rico,jamaica,and hispaniola.Even though there is only 4 major islands in the caribean islands,there is actually 6 countries.The reason why this is because hispaniola is divided into two counties.The islands are called "haiti" and the "dominican republic".Hispaniola is a weird place because the dominican republic is very rich while Haiti is very poor.The Dominican Republic is a great tourist hub while Haiti is very bare and poor. hispaniola
